RETURN OF THE ANCIENT KNOWLEDGE

After becoming bar-mitzvah Shmuel Cohen walked away from Judaism, and after a career as a software engineer, he moved to San Francisco to become a musician and a poet. In the mid-1990s he moved to Eugene and studied with Rabbi Hanan Sills. For the last 10 years, he has been living in Jerusalem studying in yeshiva with various teachers. He recently returned to Eugene with the hope of sharing some of the joys and gems found in our ancient tradition.

There will be a brief teaching before we begin for first timers. During the practice of transfiguration, you allow your body and thoughts to dissolve until you are just spiritual light. From this place of radiance, healing with spiritual light for self and others is amplified as the group transfigures as one.
Please bring a small 4 oz jar of water or a small sealed bag of soil to put on the altar. The water and soil will be transfigured. I will explain more as we prepare for the ceremony.
Following the Ceremony we will flow into personal and group journey work.

Humans are made of 10 bodies: the physical body, three mental bodies and six energy bodies. The Ten Bodies are powerful capacities of the psyche. Each body has specific gifts that manifest when strong, and certain deficit tendencies that surface when weak. Kundalini Yoga is a comprehensive way to work on all Ten Bodies at once. Each of the classes will focus on one of the Ten Bodies with pranayam, kriya, and meditation.

June Kaballah Class, meeting weekly

Starting in June will be a intro to Kaballah class. We will be reading the book "Inner Space" by Aryeh Kaplan. This class will be on a $5 donation/meeting. It will meet weekly at a place to be determined, and will meet either Monday at noon or 1pm, Tuesday at noon or 1 pm, or Wednesday at 1:30pm. *Tell me which works best for you. After becoming bar-mitzvah Shmuel Cohen walked away from Judaism, and after a career as a software engineer, he moved to San Francisco to become a musician and a poet. In the mid-1990s he moved to Eugene and studied with Rabbi Hanan Sills. For the last 10 years, he has been living in Jerusalem studying in yeshiva with various teachers. He recently returned to Eugene with the hope of sharing some of the joys and gems found in our ancient tradition.

In the Tibetan word shi-nay, shi means calm and nay means abiding. Shinay meditation rests the mind in a state undisturbed by thoughts and emotions, allowing the mind to experience its true nature. Lama Sonam will give instructions, guide a meditation session, and answer questions. This meditation is appropriate for anyone interested in the path that unites wisdom and compassion.
