Join Charles Eisenstein acclaimed author, teacher and speaker for a day-long intensive workshop to explore activism in a time of profound transition.
Our world is facing a series of deepening challenges in 2012. These challenges will require new ways of thinking, and a whole new paradigm of activism and leadership.
In this workshop you will realize a new level of confidence, commitment, and effectiveness in what you are already doing -- an approach that doesn't depend on trying harder, but is a natural evolution.
This daylong event is a hands-on exploration of becoming more effective as change agents. It is also about reuniting the long-sundered realms of the activist and the spiritual practitioner.
This workshop will explore:
• The psychodynamics of transition
• The shift of consciousness and mythology underlying the transition today
• How to align ourselves with that shift on a personal, psychological, and spiritual level
• The rebirth of community
• Activism in an age of social and ecological healing
• A Leader as “one who holds the story of what is to be”

Cozmic, 8th and Charnelton, Eugene, no cover
A showcase of local songwriters will be presented on Friday, March16th at Cozmic from 5-7pm. No cover. This is part of a series of songwriter showcases organized and hosted by Rob Tobias. The two guest songwriters for this showcase are Robert Meade and Timothy Shaw. Each of the three performers will play a short set followed by a songwriter in the round format.
Rob Tobias writes and plays roots music inspired by the great songwriters of the 60s and 70s while also exploring sing-along and spiritual styles. Rob sings, plays piano, guitar, uke, harmonica, and percussion. "If the Northwest has a little of all the good stuff, Tobias’ own songwriting mirrors that diversity. His blended style samples from jazz, blues, reggae, folk and rock." www.robtobias.com

In the mid-1990s he moved to Eugene and studied with Rabbi Hanan Sills. For the last 10 years, he has been living in Jerusalem studying in yeshiva with various teachers. Kol Zimra Chant Circle ... a Season for Nonviolence event
with Lisa Kaye
Thursday, March 22, 2012
7:00 to 8:30 pm
Either in the Sanctuary or the 2nd Fl. Library
1175 East 29th Avenue, Eugene, OR
FREE but donations to TBI Community Education Fund gratefully accepted.
Drop-ins welcome.
www.tbieugene.org 541-485-7218 info(at)tbieugene.org
While this chant circle is based on a Jewish experience, everyone is welcome.
If you are looking for a new way to enter into a deep relationship with sacred Jewish texts and prayers, chanting may be just right for you!
Sinking into the tones and kavanah (intention) of a chant can open us to a new awareness of our connection to God that is powerful and transformative. Reb Zalman speaks of niggunim and chant as forming a Mikveh, a cleanse bath of sound to immerse oneself in.
Each of us, wherever we are on our spiritual journey, brings a unique and holy spark of energy to the chant circle. It is not about creating a choir of good voices. It is about creating a sacred place of intention for transformation.
Rabbi Shefa Gold describes chant as "building a mishkan; we’re building a sanctuary, a holy place, with our intention and with all the beauty we can bring to it. And then in the silence afterward we step into that mishkan that we have built and we receive God’s presence.” For more info visit www.RabbiShefaGold.com.
Send me an email to lisakaye-chant(at)spiritpathnow.com if you would like to get updates about dates, times and locations for Lisa Kaye's Kol Zimra Chant Circles.
Lisa Kaye was raised in Reform Judaism where she was active organizing programs and bringing innovative services and seders to several synagogues and chavurot groups through the years. Four years ago she discovered Renewal Judaism and began the path of Rabbi Shefa Gold's Kol Zimra chant leadership training.

"The Soul of the Heart Sacred Circle" combines Hellinger's Systemic Constellation Work and sacred ceremony. It is an experiential process, working at a deep soul level. This heart-based approach brings more immediate and lasting impact than techniques that address the mind alone.
Through constellation work, we uncover hidden generational dynamics which create obstacles that prevent us from living our lives well. Shifts occur on a systemic level so that we can experience the natural flow of love, strength and support within our lives.
It is an open and very safe group.

Eckankar Community HU Sing
Sunday, March 25th
10:00 – 10:30 am
ECKANKAR Center of Eugene,
2833C Willamette Street,
(541) 343-2657
All are welcome to this free event.
You are invited to experience an ECKANKAR Community HU, a Love Song to God, with a period of sacred contemplation. Regardless of your beliefs or religion, singing HU (pronounced like the word hue) can bring you greater happiness, love, and understanding.
“HU is woven into the language of life. It is the Sound of all sounds. It is the wind in the leaves, falling rain, thunder of jets, singing of birds, the awful rumble of a tornado. Its sound is heard in laughter, weeping, the din of city traffic, ocean waves, and the quiet rippling of a mountain stream. And yet, the word HU is not God. It is a word people anywhere can use to address the Originator of Life.” - Sri Harold Klemp, Spiritual Leader of ECKANKAR, Religion of the Light and Sound of God.

TRANSFIGURATION CEREMONY
with Leia Hart
See you March 25, 2012!
6:30 - 8:30 pm
fourth Sunday of the month
This is a free, open circle
There will be a brief teaching before we begin for first timers. During the practice of transfiguration, you allow your body and thoughts to dissolve until you are just spiritual light.
From this place of radiance, healing with spiritual light for self and others is amplified as the group transfigures as one.
Please bring a small 4 oz jar of water or a small sealed bag of soil to put on the altar. The water and soil will be transfigured. I will explain more as we prepare for the ceremony.
May this season fill you with delight during this time of celebration and transformation!
