BIODYNAMIC CRANIAL TOUCH: The Initiatory Course

June 11-13, 2010 - Bend OR
9-6 pm each day
Instructors Sandra Norris Wheeler LMT
and Wren Breedlove, PT
24 CEUs $600.
This 3 day workshop is an introduction to the history, theory and beginning practice of biodynamic cranial work. Offered for anyone desiring to cultivate and deepen their experience of Presence and Stillness within themselves, and in a hands-on practice.
The foundation of Biodynamic Cranial Touch is the focused and open presence of the practitioner. Different from traditional craniosacral therapy this work builds on a heightened sensitivity to listening to the deeper rhythms of the cranial system. In this training we will explore different levels of touch and energy awareness through perception exercises, which help to cultivate the inner stillness required for session work.

About Systemic Constellation Work:
Our deepest relationships — with parents, husbands and wives, children and others — can provide profound support in our lives. However, hidden dynamics within these relationships often produce obstacles that keep us from being able to feel the positive effects of that support. Systemic Constellation Work is a powerful tool for bringing these hidden dynamics to light and removing the obstacles, leading to a greater flow of love, strength and support through all our relations.
Systemic Constellation Work is an experiential process, working at a deeper soul level than conventional counseling. This means that the impact of this work can be both more immediate and more lasting than techniques that address the mind alone.
For this workshop, please bring comfortable clothes, snacks, an intention, and whatever else will make you feel more at ease.
For more information, please see Catherine’s website at www.totheheartofthematter.com.

Eugene ECKANKAR Center:
2833C Willamette Street, Eugene, OR
541-343-2657

“HU is woven into the language of life. It is the Sound of all sounds. It is the wind in the leaves, falling rain, thunder of jets, singing of birds, the awful rumble of a tornado. Its sound is heard in laughter, weeping, the din of city traffic, ocean waves, and the quiet rippling of a mountain stream. And yet, the word HU is not God. It is a word people anywhere can use to address the Originator of Life.” - Sri Harold Klemp, Spiritual Leader of ECKANKAR, Religion of the Light and Sound of God

About 3,700 years ago, the mighty Assyrian Empire attacked and destroyed the ancient Northern Kingdom of Israel, deporting 10 of the 12 tribes, and leaving the Southern Kingdom of Judah as the standing remnant of the Israelites. Never to be heard from again, the deported Israelites of the 10 northern tribes became the famous “Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.” Ever since, various people have developed many stories, including some extraordinary claims, about whatever became of these 10 lost tribes. Join Professor Stein Kokin as he explores the question of how the myth of the “Ten Lost Tribes of Israel” developed. What was the meaning of these exiled tribes for the rabbis, for Josephus, for the authors of the New Testament, and others from that period.
Professor Daniel Stein Kokin comes to the University of Oregon from Yale University, where he served from 2006 to 2009 as a Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Postdoctoral Associate in the Program in Judaic Studies.

The Feldenkrais Method of movement education is practiced worldwide, for rehabilitation and injury prevention, and to assist in the development of fine motor skills. Awareness Through Movement classes increase mobility and help replace old patterns of movement with new ones. This improves breathing and circulation, as well as reduces pain and restriction of movement. Feldenkrais classes are popular with actors, musicians, dancers, as well as people of all vocations and ages who are interested in improved physical functionality and reduction in chronic or acute pain.
About our Instructor: Deborah discovered the benefits of the Feldenkrais Method first hand while attempted to recover from her third hip replacement surgery. She was still using a cane after nine-months of rigorous treatment in traditional Physical Therapy. Three Feldenkrais lessons in a ten-day time-span led to a dramatic breakthrough and her full recovery. She also offers private lessons at the Green Phoenix Clinic.
