EARTH HOUR ~ Turn OFF Your Lights!
Location... Wherever You Are!
On Earth Hour hundreds of millions of people, organizations, corporations and governments around the world will come together to make a bold statement about their concern for climate change by doing something quite simple—turning off their lights for one hour. In the U.S. where we are already feeling the impacts of climate change, Earth Hour sends a clear message that Americans care about this issue and want to turn the lights out on dirty air, dangerous dependency on foreign oil and costly climate change impacts, and make the switch to cleaner air, a strong economic future and a more secure nation. Participation is easy. By flipping off your lights on March 27th at 8:30 p.m. local time you will be making the switch to a cleaner, more secure nation and prosperous America.

Vedanta is a body of knowledge that teaches the truth of oneself as limitless and free of fear and sorrow. Even as one tries to abide in this reality, one tends to get caught up with the mind thereby turning life into an emotional rollercoaster. By seeking to understand the person rather than just the personality, this talk series will unfold the knowledge of oneself as the whole, the witness of everything, including the mind. Additionally, practical techniques to free oneself from the grip of the limiting mind and live in the present will also be expounded.

Movie Night: Oh My God DVD
Center for Spiritual Living,
390 Vernal Street, Eugene
$5
In every corner of the world, there's one question that can never be definitively answered, yet stirs up equal parts passion, curiosity, self-reflection and often wild imagination: "What is God?"
Filmmaker Peter Rodger explores this profound, age-old query in the provocative non-fiction feature Oh My God. This visual odyssey travels the globe with a revealing lens examining the idea of God through the minds and eyes of various religions and cultures, everyday people, spiritual leaders and celebrities. His goal: to give the viewer the personal, visceral experience of some kind of reasonable, meaningful definition of one of the most used—some might say overused—words in most every language.

CONTEMPLATIVE, MEDITATIVE SHABBAT CHANT CIRCLE
Center for Spiritual Living
390 Vernal Street, Eugene
Cross streets Coburg Rd/Rustic Pl.
Turn East at Blockbuster.
No charge / donations gratefully accepted
Each month the Center for Spiritual Living is home to a Jewish Renewal-style celebration of Shabbat (Sabbath).
Lisa Kaye, a chant leader from Rabbi Shefa Gold's Kol Zimra program, will be leading this opportunity for us to step into sacred time together. This gathering is open and welcoming for everyone whether you have little or lots of experience with Judaism or if you are just on an appreciative eclectic spiritual path, you will find a home here.
This is a ‘meta-Jewish’ experience that is open to all! Come enter the space with your hearts and souls open -- open to hearing and feeling spirit in a new way; partly Jewish, partly metaphysical, but wholly spiritual.
There is no charge for the gatherings but donations are appreciated if you would like to support more programs like this.
Usually we meet on the second Saturday but in April it will be the third Saturday due to a previously scheduled program at the Center. We’ll be back on schedule next month for the 2nd Saturdays of the month on Saturday, May 15. Sign-up on our website for email reminders that will include any program date changes!

Midline Meditation Gathering
Donation of $10-$20
'The process of the Midline Meditations is to gently and slowly begin to quiet the nervous system, allow the brain and Central Nervous System and The Mind to become a RECEIVER, rather than a TRANSMITTER. Midline Meditations are a time to come together to assist our deepening into body-centered Stillness and deep relaxation in a nurturing, safe and sacred group field.'
