Join Rabbi Seidel and others in the formation of the Eugene Neshama Minyan
meeting at a new location in the South Eugene area to inititate the new Spirit in the Sky Jewish Renewal Program.
The Neshama Minyan will be an assembly of the heart-centered souls davening, chanting, singing and sitting quietly in the spirit of Shabbat. It is appropriate that we will begin Shabbat Shuvah 5770.  We will meet monthly into the future.

Simchat Torah Celebration:  Opening to Newness! 
This special event for October brought to you by
Facilitated by Rabbi Jonathan Seidel of Or haGan and Neshama Minyan and Lisa Kaye of the Center for Spiritual Living
Location: Center for Spiritual Living,  390 Vernal St., Eugene (Ferry St. Bridge area)

Everyone is invited to come sing, dance and celebrate with us as we mark the completion of the cycle of reading the Torah each week and the beginning of the the new cycle of readings.  This is one of the most joyous holidays in the Jewish year and is a celebration of opening to newness and the beginnings of a new cycle and a new year.   Come join with us for a kids (and maybe adults too) parade, and generally great vibes and joy as we dance and sing with the Torah!

A deeply contemplative and meditative chant experience of the Jewish Shabbat for everyone, whatever your spiritual path.  Inspired by Rabbi Shefa Gold’s teachings, we invite you to enter chant as a journey to your deepest spiritual soul.

SAT 9/12 :: Shabbat Meditative Chanting - Return Again

September 12 will focus on S'lichot / 'forgiveness', the process of teshuva, returning.  As Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach says "Return again to the home of your Soul.  Return to what you are.  Return to who you are.  Return to where you are.  Born and reborn again."  We each have an oppotunity every year at the High Holy Days to shift our lives, shift our path, shift our perspective and turn away from that which doesn't serve our highest self and towards that which does.  Come join us as we till the soil preparing the way for the High Holy Days!

New Schedule for Fall...

A Meditative Chanting Shabbat will continue to be lead by Lisa Kaye at the Center for Spiritual Living on the SECOND Saturday of the month starting in September.  (9/12, * 11/14, 12/12)
 
September 12 will be co-lead by Beth Miriam Rose and Lisa Kaye and will focus on S'lichot / 'forgiveness', the process of teshuva, returning to the Inner Stillness within change and preparations for the Jewish High Holidays.

A new Neshamah Minyan will be lead by Rabbi Jonathan Seidel tentatively scheduled for the FOURTH Saturday's of the month in South Eugene with dates and location to be announced.

* Sunday evening, October 11 will be a special musical celebration of Simchat Torah at the Center for Spiritual Living with live music, dancing and drumming.

Lisa Kaye will guide us in a metaphysical interpretation of Shabbat (sabbath) with deep chanting and meditation.  We are creating a new type of sacred space with this chant group.  Come enter the space with your hearts and souls open -- open to hearing and feeling spirit in a new way; partly Jewish, partly metaphysical, but wholly spiritual.

Join Rabbi Jonathan Seidel and Lisa Kaye in opening our hearts and imaginations to receive Torah through mindful meditation, song and chant. 

This special Shabbat morning we will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, the giving of the Torah, with chanting, singing, praying, meditation, and kirtan (*call and response devotional chanting) employing new forms of connecting to Spirit and enriching our prayer and contemplative lives.

Bring drums and percussive instruments as well as your desire to form a community of worshipful connection.  We will also sing and study the Parasha of the Day in honor of Shavuot.

Everyone is welcome.  There is no charge to attend.
